This week we have all been investigators, explorers and inventors.
In our classroom transformation we found an old printer.
We decided to deconstruct the printer!!
This was great for fine motor skills, hand to eye coordination and developing shoulder muscles.
The children showed great perserverance and worked collaberatively all day.
We found a piece of sticky card in the printer. The children quickly decided to utilise the card to record their other finds!
This week we had balls in the water tray. Some of the balls had real words and some had nonsense words. The children had to read the word and send it down the correct tube.
Using the coloured torched to explore the materials.
Wonderful creations at the art table using clay and lots of reclaimed items.
The children wrote some great ideas about things they wanted to invent.
And they had great fun creating their inventions!
Some more furniture arrived this week.
And we had some willing helpers to build it!
Mrs Rees said the children did a much better job building the furniture than the teachers! They all received a special head teacher sticker for their hard work!
What a fab week we have had and the children have learned so much and astonished us all with their levels of perserverance, determination and ability to work so well as a team.
As always thanks for reading!
