We carried out an investigation to explore square numbers. Nathan used his own method and discovered PRIME numbers too!

Professor Brainstorm came to our school to show us forces in action all around us using everyday objects.
It was great! We all think Science is FUN! This term we have been investigating AIR RESISTANCE. We have learned that less air resistance can speed things up and more air resistance can slow things down. We explore this with parachutes. We discovered that: The larger the parachute, the longer it took to reach the ground! We tried to make moving easier by pulling a box along different surfaces. We learned that friction can be reduced or increased. When two smooth surfaces rub against each other there is less friction and two rough surfaces create more friction.

When two smooth surfaces rub against each other there is less friction and two rough surfaces create more friction. We investigated Area and Perimeter to find out if the shapes with the same perimeter had the same area and the other way around. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the police training station at Meadowfield, dressed as Mini Police ourselves! We watched the riot police in action and saw how the police dogs took control when things got tricky. It was really interesting and we learned lots. We all loved exploring inside the Police Van.
