We have been making our night light for 6 weeks for our art project. For our circuit inside we used crocodile clips, a bulb, switch and 2 batteries. Do you like them?
Year 4 & 5 have been making mini beast habitats. At the end of term we can take them home and place them in our gardens so that animals can live there. We got split into groups and each group got the chance to build there habitat. Mr Wood, Esmè's grandad came in and taught us more about our wood skills. Written by Keira ( Digital Leader) This term we have been working in small groups to create a collage of the whole of the River Wear. Each group section to complete. By Keira (digital leader) Our topic this term is Ancient Incas. We decided to make medicine bags, First we designed our pattern on scrap paper then we used fabric felt tip pens on fabric cloth after that Mrs Holmes ,one of the pupils mum, she helped make a strap for our bags. Mrs Anderson (our teacher) then helped us make tassels for the bottom of our bag. These are some of the bags that some people have made already. We have been using shapes to draw realistic animals. I used squares and triangles to make a horse. We looked at the picture of 'Underwater Dream' by Paul Klee. We coloured in a white piece of card then painted over it with black paint. When the paint dried we scrapped it off to make images. We also looked at Franz Marc's Expressionism. I hope you like the creations that we did in art. Written by Keira (digital leader) |
